Privacy Policy
Dated 2026-09-07
Hallway Photos is built to keep your family’s photos and videos on a host computer that you or your family run.
Website account
When you create an account on hallwayphotos.com we store your name, email address, and a hashed password, plus a license record. This account exists to hold your license and let you download the host software. It is stored in our database (Neon, US region). We do not sell it or share it with advertisers.
No developer photo servers
We run no servers that receive your photos or videos. Photos, videos, and the family accounts you create on your host are stored only on the host computer you or your family run, on your own network.
Photos permission (iOS app)
The app uses Photos permission to read the albums you choose so those photos and videos can be copied to your family’s host computer. If you use save-back features, it may also use Photos permission to save copies back to your device library.
Updates
The app checks for updates through Expo at u.expo.dev. Standard request metadata for those checks is handled by Expo, not the developer.
No analytics, tracking, or ads
Hallway Photos contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising, and no third-party analytics SDKs.
Children
Hallway Photos is not directed to children under 13. The owner of the host computer controls accounts for the family library.
